Join the Health Service Executive (HSE) and help lead digital transformation in Irish healthcare. We are seeking experienced nursing leaders to fill Assistant Director of Nursing 1 (Grade 2910) positions within the Technology and Transformation Directorate. These specified-purpose, whole-time roles offer an opportunity to drive innovation and clinical excellence across multiple HSE sites nationwide.
About the Role
As an Assistant Director of Nursing 1, you will support the development, delivery, and implementation of digital health and clinical information systems, ensuring that technology supports quality patient care. You will collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, influencing change and embedding best practice in digital transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage nursing input into digital health and transformation projects.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to deliver quality improvement initiatives.
- Support implementation of clinical information systems in acute and community settings.
- Ensure effective communication and change management across project teams.
- Contribute to the design and monitoring of policies, protocols, and governance structures.
- Promote professional development and excellence in clinical leadership.
- Report on key performance metrics and outcomes related to transformation initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered Nurse with An Bord Altranais agus Cnáimhseachais na hÉireann (NMBI).
- Proven track record in clinical leadership and change management.
- Experience in project delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated experience or knowledge of clinical information systems or equivalent healthcare applications.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in digital health, informatics, or clinical transformation within community or acute services.
- Postgraduate qualification in leadership, management, or healthcare informatics.
- Evidence of continued professional development and innovation in practice.
What We Offer
- Salary: €71,408 – €88,123 per annum (Assistant Director of Nursing Band 1 — effective 1 August 2025)
