Assistant Lecturer in Interior Architecture & Design at ATU Sligo

The Atlantic Technological University (ATU) Sligo is seeking a highly motivated and creative Assistant Lecturer in Interior Architecture & Design. This is a full-time role within the Yeats Academy of Arts, Design and Architecture, offering an exciting opportunity to shape the future of interior architecture and design education. The successful candidate will contribute to a vibrant academic environment, mentoring students and guiding them as they develop technical, aesthetic, and conceptual skills essential for thriving in today’s dynamic design industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging lectures and practical workshops that inspire innovation in Interior Architecture & Design
• Mentor and advise students, fostering a supportive learning atmosphere that encourages critical thinking and creative exploration
• Develop and update course materials to reflect current industry trends, technologies, and pedagogical best practices
• Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners to expand research, project-based learning, and professional networking opportunities
• Contribute to curriculum review and enhance the academic standards of the Yeats Academy of Arts, Design and Architecture

Qualifications & Experience:

• A relevant Master’s or Doctoral degree in Interior Architecture, Interior Design, or a closely related discipline
• Demonstrated expertise and teaching experience in interior design principles, sustainable practices, technical drawing, digital modeling, and design software
• A strong track record of industry engagement, research, or professional practice
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to inspire students and foster a culture of continuous innovation and learning
