About the Role
As a Candidate Advanced Nurse Practitioner (cANP) in the Adult Crisis Resolution Team, you’ll provide high-quality mental health care, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues to stabilise and support adults experiencing acute psychological distress. This post offers the opportunity to develop into a fully qualified Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) while contributing to enhanced outcomes in the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver advanced clinical interventions in line with ANP competencies.
- Support rapid assessment and response for adults in acute mental health crises.
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, social workers, and other professionals within the team.
- Contribute to service improvement initiatives and clinical audit processes.
- Provide leadership in evidence-based practice and continuous professional development.
- Participate in supervision and ongoing ANP education.
- Maintain professional registration and comply with HSE governance standards.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered nurse with active NMBI registration in the psychiatric division.
- Evidence of ongoing postgraduate education relevant to mental health.
- Demonstrated clinical experience in Crisis Resolution or Acute Mental Health services.
- Eligible and willing to undertake a Master’s degree in Advanced Practice (if not already held).
Preferred
- Prior experience working in multidisciplinary community mental health teams.
- Leadership or education experience in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with HSE clinical governance and national mental health policy frameworks.

- Salary: €70,725 – €79,872 per annum (based on HSE Consolidated Salary Scales, 1 August 2025, Grade Code 2274).
