About the Role
As a Caregiver with Dovida in Sligo, you’ll provide essential support to aging adults and people with disabilities in their own homes. Our person-centered approach means you’ll build meaningful connections with clients while empowering them to live fuller, more independent lives. Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance including help with daily living activities and maintaining client independence
- Deliver companionship care and emotional support to clients in their own homes
- Assist clients with disability home care services to support independent living
- Support clients with dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, and other conditions
- Build authentic, caring relationships with clients based on respect and compassion
- Follow person-centered care plans tailored to individual client needs and preferences
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Compassionate, caring nature with genuine desire to help others
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliability and commitment to providing quality care
- Ability to work flexible hours including mornings, afternoons, evenings, or weekends
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in care, healthcare, or customer service roles
- QQI Level 5 certification in Healthcare Support or related field
- First Aid certification
- Experience caring for family members or friends
