Role Overview
We are seeking talented Chefs across all grades to join our kitchen team. The successful candidates will assist in preparing and delivering exceptional dishes that meet our high standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes that align with Walker 1781’s modern Irish gastro concept.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and team on daily specials and menu development.
- Ensure compliance with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen.
- Manage stock, portion control, and minimise food waste.
- Support smooth operation of lunch and evening services.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ professional kitchen experience, ideally within a gastropub or modern Irish setting.
- HACCP certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of traditional Irish and contemporary cooking techniques.
- Excellent time management and ability to thrive under pressure.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for food.
- Team-oriented with good communication skills.
- Fluent English required.
