Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Colorectal Cancer Co-Ordinator will play a key leadership role in coordinating patient-centred colorectal cancer services within University Hospital Limerick. The successful candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support patients throughout their cancer journey while promoting best clinical practice, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate colorectal cancer services across the patient pathway.
- Provide clinical leadership and expert nursing support.
- Work collaboratively with consultants, nursing staff and multidisciplinary teams.
- Support service planning, quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.
- Promote evidence-based practice and maintain high standards of patient care.
- Contribute to education, mentoring and professional development within the nursing team.
- Ensure accurate documentation, audit participation and compliance with HSE policies.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Be eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Meet the eligibility requirements for the grade of Clinical Nurse Manager 2.
- Demonstrate significant post-registration nursing experience, including relevant clinical leadership experience.
- Possess excellent communication, organisational and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
- Meet all criteria outlined in the official HSE job specification.
Salary
