About the Role
LauraLynn – Ireland’s Children’s Hospice – seeks a dedicated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 to join its specialist palliative and respite care team at LauraLynn House in Dublin 18.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Nursing, you’ll provide leadership and clinical management to ensure safe, high-quality family-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate day-to-day nursing operations within LauraLynn House.
- Supervise and support multidisciplinary care for children with life-limiting conditions.
- Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, infection prevention, and clinical governance.
- Manage staff rosters, mentoring, and performance.
- Contribute to continuous quality improvement and policy development.
- Liaise with families and external partners to promote excellence in paediatric palliative care.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Children’s Nurse (RCN) with NMBI.
- Minimum 5 years’ post-registration experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Postgraduate qualification in Palliative Care, Paediatrics, or Management.
- Experience in a Section 39 organisation or paediatric setting.
