The Health Service Executive (HSE) South West is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to join its Technology and Transformation Team for a 24-month specified purpose contract. This role supports the integration of digital transformation and clinical informatics across Cork and Kerry.
About the Role
As CNM2 – Informatics, Technology and Transformation, you will lead nursing and midwifery engagement with technology initiatives, ensuring clinical quality and safety in digital implementation. The post is co-located with the regional Technology and Transformation Team, offering a unique opportunity to influence clinical innovation in healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive clinical informatics initiatives across services in Cork and Kerry.
- Support the rollout and adoption of healthcare technology systems.
- Act as a clinical liaison for digital transformation programmes.
- Promote evidence-based nursing practice through data and technology.
- Support training, evaluation, and change management in system use.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance digital literacy.
- Contribute to governance, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active NMBI registration.
- Minimum of five years post-registration experience, including two in a management capacity.
- Proven experience in clinical informatics, eHealth, or technology-enabled change.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred
- Qualification in health informatics, management, or project leadership.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) or HSE digital systems.

- Salary scale (CNM2, Grade Code 2119): €61,463 – €77,666 per annum (as per DoH Consolidated Salary Scales, effective 1 August 2025).
