About This Opportunity
The HSE Dublin and North East is seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for our ENT/Vestibular Rehabilitation service in Drogheda. This permanent part-time role (17.5 hours weekly) offers the opportunity to lead advanced vestibular care while providing specialist expertise across Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital and Louth County Hospital.
About the Role
As Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, you’ll provide advanced triage and treatment services within our Consultant-led ENT department. You’ll lead physiotherapy services across multiple sites while delivering evidence-based care to complex vestibular patients. This role combines clinical excellence with leadership responsibilities in our expanding rehabilitation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead advanced vestibular physiotherapy triage and treatment services in ENT/Vestibular clinics
- Manage complex vestibular cases with advanced assessment and treatment protocols
- Provide clinical leadership to physiotherapy teams across Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Louth County Hospital, and Cottage Hospital
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver rehabilitation-focused, evidence-based patient care
- Develop care pathways between Community and Acute services for optimal patient outcomes
- Conduct audit and research activities to advance vestibular rehabilitation practices
- Deliver education and training to colleagues locally, regionally, and nationally
Essential Qualifications
- Degree in Physiotherapy with CORU registration
- Minimum 5 years general physiotherapy experience plus 2+ years in vestibular rehabilitation
- ENT/Vestibular specialist training and relevant certifications
- Advanced assessment skills in vestibular disorders and balance rehabilitation
- Leadership experience in clinical settings with multidisciplinary team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
- Postgraduate qualification in Vestibular Rehabilitation or related field
- Experience with advanced vestibular assessment tools and treatment techniques
- Research or audit experience in ENT or rehabilitation services
- Teaching or mentoring experience with physiotherapy students or junior staff
- Additional certifications in balance disorders or neurological rehabilitation
