Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital Drogheda is seeking an experienced Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist for our specialized Paediatric and Paediatric Orthopaedic Triage service. About the Role
As Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist, you’ll lead, develop and manage comprehensive Paediatric inpatient and outpatient physiotherapy services with specific responsibility for Paediatric Orthopaedic Triage. You’ll work collaboratively within our multidisciplinary physiotherapy team and integrate with consultant-led paediatric services to deliver exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop paediatric physiotherapy services across inpatient and outpatient settings
- Manage Paediatric Orthopaedic Triage services with clinical expertise and efficiency
- Collaborate with consultant-led multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to physiotherapy team members
- Develop evidence-based treatment protocols for paediatric conditions
- Ensure quality standards and clinical governance compliance
- Contribute to service planning and strategic development initiatives
Essential Qualifications
Education: Primary degree in Physiotherapy recognized by CORU Experience: Minimum 4 years general physiotherapy + 2 years specialized paediatric experience Registration: Current CORU registration as a Physiotherapist Skills: Advanced paediatric assessment, orthopaedic triage expertise, leadership capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-graduate qualification in Paediatric Physiotherapy
- Experience in acute hospital paediatric services
- Previous triage or clinical specialist experience
- Leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare settings
- Additional paediatric specialization certifications
