Role Overview
Leitrim County Council seeks an experienced and visionary County Librarian to plan, develop, and manage library services across County Leitrim. Reporting to the Director of Service, you will provide strategic leadership and operational management to ensure the service meets diverse educational, cultural, digital, and community needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and implement strategic objectives, policies, and plans for library services.
- Oversee operational delivery, including staff coordination, programme development, and budget management.
- Lead innovation in digital services, STEAM programming, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with cultural, educational, and voluntary organisations to extend service reach.
- Ensure compliance with national and local library development plans, delivering value for money.
- Foster a customer-focused, inclusive, and accessible library environment.
