Your Role at Lidl
As a Customer Assistant, you’ll be the face of Lidl in Sligo, delivering exceptional customer service across our award-winning store operations. You’ll work varied shifts alongside supportive colleagues, gaining valuable retail experience while helping customers “Go Full Lidl” with our quality products and unbeatable prices.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve customers with enthusiasm on tills, processing transactions efficiently while maintaining short queues
- Stock merchandise during early morning shifts, ensuring shelves are fully replenished with award-winning products by opening time
- Maintain store standards through regular cleaning, product rotation, and ensuring fresh bakery items are attractively displayed
- Assist customers with product queries, providing knowledgeable advice about our extensive grocery range
- Handle cash transactions and alcohol sales responsibly (must be 18+ for alcohol sales compliance)
- Support stock control procedures, minimizing waste and ensuring accurate inventory management
- Collaborate effectively with team members across different shifts to maintain seamless store operations

- Starting salary: €15.10/hour rising to €17.40/hour after 3 years
- Enhanced rates: €18.88-€21.75 for unsocial hours (12am-7am)
- Premium pay: €22.65-€26.10 overtime and Sunday rates
