About the Role
As a Dental Nurse (Grade Code 6437), you will support orthodontic specialists and clinicians in providing effective patient care across community dental clinics within the Dublin & North East region. You’ll assist in chairside procedures, patient record management, and uphold HSE’s clinical and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical chairside support for orthodontic procedures.
- Prepare and maintain instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure accurate patient documentation and dental records.
- Maintain infection prevention and sterilisation protocols.
- Support patient communication, comfort, and safety.
- Assist in administrative and stock control duties.
- Participate in quality improvement and team initiatives.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Qualification in Dental Nursing (recognised by the Dental Council of Ireland).
- Registration (or eligibility) with the Dental Council.
- Orthodontic dental nursing experience demonstrating depth and breadth relevant to the role.
- Availability to work rostered hours between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Monday to Friday.
- Access to appropriate transport to travel between clinics as required.
Preferred
- Experience within a public dental or community orthodontic service.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient-care skills.
