The Central Remedial Clinic (CRC) is seeking a dedicated Disability Health and Social Care Assistant (formerly Therapy Assistant) to join our multidisciplinary team in Swords, Co. Dublin. This permanent, full-time role offers an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and adults with physical disabilities by supporting their therapy, rehabilitation, and daily care programmes.
About the Role
As a Health and Social Care Assistant within the CRC, you’ll work closely with therapists, nurses, and clinicians to deliver care plans that promote independence, inclusion, and wellbeing for service users. This position is ideal for compassionate professionals who value teamwork and excellence in client care across both health and social service settings.

Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of therapy and rehabilitation programmes under professional supervision.
- Assist service users with personal care, mobility, and participation in daily activities.
- Prepare and maintain therapy spaces and equipment to ensure safe, effective use.
- Record and report client progress accurately in line with CRC and HSE documentation standards.
- Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion for all service users.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous service improvement.
- Adhere to all CRC policies on health, safety, infection prevention, and child protection.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Completed QQI Level 5 qualification in Healthcare Support, Social Care, or equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience working with individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to person-centred care.
Preferred
- Experience in a multidisciplinary therapy environment.
- Training in manual handling, safeguarding, and first aid.
- Familiarity with HSE/Section 38 healthcare services.
What We Offer
- Salary: In line with HSE Health & Social Care Assistant (Therapy Assistant) – Grade Code 6019 pay scale (effective 1 August 2025):
€30,266 – €43,110 per annum (inclusive of 1% public service increase). - Permanent, whole-time position with full public-sector pension eligibility.
