The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a qualified Electrician (Grade 5096) for a permanent, full-time role at Letterkenny University Hospital, Co. Donegal. Both current HSE staff and external applicants are encouraged to apply.
🌟 Key Responsibilities
- Conduct installation, repair, and maintenance of hospital electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with HSE electrical safety protocols, regulations, and standards.
- Carry out routine testing, inspections, and fault diagnosis.
- Read and work from technical drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns to maintain hospital operations.
- Liaise with Maintenance Manager and multidisciplinary teams to support hospital services.
🎓 Requirements & Qualifications
- Recognised electrician qualification (NVQ Level 6 or equivalent), aligned with HSE standards.
- Demonstrated experience in industrial or commercial electrical systems.
- Comprehensive understanding of Irish/EU electrical safety legislation (e.g. ETCI, IS 10101).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
- Garda Vetting clearance required for work within healthcare settings.
