Administrative Support Carrickmines is a Grade V (0.5 WTE) post providing high-quality administrative support to the lead Regional Director of Medical Education & Training and the Regional Clinical Director. The role also supports the roll out and expansion of the Regional Postgraduate Medical Education and Training model across the health region.
Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient day-to-day administration and maintain service levels and deadlines
- Maintain accurate, confidential records and ensure policies/procedures are documented and followed
- Keep line management and stakeholders informed; communicate stakeholder views appropriately
- Promote a customer-focused environment; gather feedback and support agreed improvements
- Support team workload distribution and positive working relationships; identify training/development needs
- Participate in service improvement, innovation, and change initiatives; monitor efficiency and implement administrative improvements
- Support the roll out and expansion of the Regional Postgraduate Medical Education and Training model
Requirements
Eligibility (meet one of the following on the closing date)
- Satisfactory experience as a Clerical Officer in the HSE, TUSLA, other statutory health agencies, or a Section 38 body
- Leaving Certificate: minimum Grade D in at least five approved subjects including Maths and English/Irish (and at least Grade C at Higher Level in three subjects)
- Equivalent qualification/exam in another jurisdiction
- Relevant NFQ Level 6 (or higher) qualification
Post-specific requirements
- High-level ICT skills, including Excel, and experience in data collection/analysis
- Experience in a busy office environment with professional engagement with management and delivering reports to senior managers
- Access to appropriate transport to meet regional role requirements
- Flexibility in working hours to meet deadlines
