Job Overview
Cork University Hospital is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (Candidate) to join the Haematology service. This permanent role offers a structured pathway to advanced practice, delivering high-quality, evidence-based care within a multidisciplinary team in a leading acute hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Deliver advanced clinical nursing practice in Haematology
• Undertake comprehensive patient assessments and clinical decision-making
• Collaborate with consultants and MDT colleagues in care planning
• Support service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Engage in education, mentorship, and professional development activities
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and governance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registration as a Nurse with NMBI (or eligibility)
• Relevant postgraduate education aligned with ANP (Candidate) requirements
• Demonstrated experience in Haematology or acute clinical settings
• Strong clinical assessment, leadership, and communication skills
• Commitment to progressing to Advanced Nurse Practitioner status
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Salary Scale (ANP Candidate – General 2272): €70,725 – €79,872 per annum (1 August 2025 scale, point dependent)
• Permanent whole-time position
