Job Overview
This is a senior leadership opportunity within the Access and Integration division, supporting national healthcare delivery priorities. The Assistant National Director will play a critical role in driving business operations, compliance, and strategic planning across the organisation. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee business operations within Access and Integration
- Drive compliance with national healthcare policies and governance frameworks
- Support strategic planning and service improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the HSE and external partners
- Ensure effective resource management and operational efficiency
- Contribute to national programme development and implementation
- Provide leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams
- Support performance monitoring and reporting processes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Significant senior management experience in healthcare or a related sector
- Strong leadership, organisational, and strategic planning skills
- Proven experience in governance, compliance, and operational management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication abilities
- Relevant third-level qualification in management, healthcare, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex projects and service improvements
- Knowledge of HSE structures, policies, and healthcare systems is desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €122,421 – €149,260 per annum (pro rata where applicable)
Working arrangements may include blended working in line with HSE policy.

Location & Employer Information
This role is based in the Office of the National Director, Access & Integration, Dr Steevens Hospital, Steevens Lane, Dublin 8. The role may require attendance at meetings in Dublin and other regions as needed. The organisation supports flexible working arrangements in line with blended working policies.
