The Health Service Executive is seeking an experienced Business Manager (Grade VIII) to join Enhanced Community Care & Primary Care Contracts, National Services and Schemes in Cork. This senior management role offers the opportunity to shape operational performance, governance, and service delivery within a dynamic healthcare environment.
This Business Manager Cork position is open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants and may result in a panel for current and future permanent or specified purpose vacancies (full-time or part-time).
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and operational leadership across Enhanced Community Care and Primary Care Contracts.
- Support financial planning, budget management, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with governance, procurement, and public sector regulations.
- Lead performance monitoring, reporting, and service improvement initiatives.
- Manage stakeholder relationships across multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Oversee contract management and service-level agreement compliance.
- Contribute to national service development and transformation programmes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant third-level qualification in business, management, finance, or a related discipline.
- Significant senior management experience in a complex organisation.
- Strong financial management and analytical capability.
- Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
- Experience in governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong report writing and presentation abilities.
