Bridgestock Childcare Ltd is seeking an experienced Childcare Area Manager to oversee the continued success and growth of its award-winning Cre8ive Corner Creche facilities in Sligo. Based across the Brooklawns and Farmhill Manor childcare facilities, this hybrid management role offers the opportunity to lead high-quality childcare and education services while contributing strategically to the expansion and development of the Cre8ive Corner Creche brand in County Sligo.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with childcare teams, senior management, and external agencies to ensure the delivery of safe, inclusive, and child-centred childcare services. The role combines operational leadership, staff development, compliance management, and business growth responsibilities across multiple childcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily management and operational success of existing and new childcare facilities in Sligo.
- Ensure high-quality childcare and education services aligned with Aistear, Siolta, and all childcare regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and support childcare teams to maintain excellent standards of care and professional development.
- Manage staffing levels, rotas, annual leave, and workforce planning in collaboration with the finance team.
- Maintain effective communication systems with parents, guardians, and stakeholders.
- Coordinate inspections, audits, health and safety compliance, and risk assessments.
- Support marketing initiatives, family events, fundraising activities, and childcare business growth strategies.
- Ensure all childcare administration, admissions, observations, and reporting are completed to the highest standards.
- Liaise with Tusla, Child & Family Agency, Pobal, and other external organisations.
- Monitor financial performance, revenue generation, budgets, and operational efficiency across childcare settings.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- A recognised Early Years qualification, with QQI Level 7 desirable.
- Minimum three years’ managerial experience within a childcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of childcare regulations, compliance standards, and curriculum frameworks.
- Experience managing large childcare teams and multi-site operations.
- Strong IT proficiency including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and government funding portals.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
- Passion for early years education and delivering high-quality childcare services.
- Good business acumen and financial awareness.
- Full clean driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
This is a full-time permanent position offering 40 hours per week with flexible start and finish times. The salary ranges from €45,000 to €50,000 annually depending on experience.
