University Hospital Limerick is seeking a highly skilled Senior Clinical Engineering Technician to join its Acute Services team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the maintenance, development, and management of critical medical equipment within a leading healthcare environment. Key Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for medical devices and clinical equipment
- Perform maintenance, calibration, and repair of biomedical equipment
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
- Support equipment procurement, installation, and commissioning processes
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve equipment-related issues
- Assist in training staff on proper equipment use and safety procedures
- Participate in service development and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Clinical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
- Significant experience in medical equipment maintenance and support
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and safety standards
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to manage workload effectively in a busy hospital environment
- Experience in acute healthcare settings is highly desirable
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €51,792 – €74,019 per annum (aligned with HSE Clinical Engineering Technician Senior Grade)
Working Hours: Full-time, permanent position
