The Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Emergency Department role at St. Luke’s General Hospital offers an exciting opportunity to lead and support nursing teams in a fast-paced acute setting. This permanent wholetime position plays a vital role in ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centred emergency care within HSE Dublin and South East.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision within the Emergency Department
• Support the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based emergency nursing care
• Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation effectively
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards
• Mentor and support nursing staff development
• Participate in audit, quality improvement, and risk management initiatives
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance service delivery
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Registered General Nurse with active registration with NMBI
• Minimum required post-registration experience in acute settings
• Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in emergency medicine
• Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity desirable
• Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Salary Scale: Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (Grade 2127) €56,642 – €66,705 per annum (August 2025 HSE Consolidated Pay Scale)
