Job Overview
An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 within Kerry Specialist Palliative Care Services, supporting high-quality, compassionate care delivery across the region. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse seeking to progress into a leadership position while making a meaningful impact in palliative care services. You will play a key role in coordinating patient care, supporting staff, and ensuring best clinical practices are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision to nursing staff within palliative care services
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in line with HSE standards
- Coordinate and manage daily clinical operations within the service
- Support staff development, mentoring, and performance management
- Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes
- Participate in service improvement initiatives and quality assurance programmes
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Relevant experience in palliative care or a related clinical setting
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Commitment to continuous professional development
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of HSE policies, procedures, and clinical standards
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €57,208 – €67,372 per annum (pro-rata for part-time)
Contract Type: Specified Purpose, Part-time

Location & Employer Information
This position is based within Kerry Specialist Palliative Care Services under HSE South West, covering services across County Kerry.
