Wexford General Hospital is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Theatre to lead and coordinate perioperative nursing services. This permanent wholetime opportunity offers the chance to play a key leadership role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care within a dynamic acute hospital environment.
As a Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Theatre Wexford, you will support clinical excellence, manage theatre resources effectively, and contribute to continuous service improvement across perioperative services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily operations within the theatre department
- Ensure high standards of perioperative patient care and safety
- Supervise, support and mentor nursing and support staff
- Manage staffing rosters and theatre resource allocation
- Ensure compliance with clinical governance and infection prevention standards
- Participate in audit, quality improvement and service development initiatives
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient flow
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active NMBI registration
- Minimum required clinical experience in perioperative/theatre nursing
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of clinical governance and patient safety standards
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Eligibility to work in Ireland
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €56,642 – €66,705 (August 2025 HSE Consolidated Pay Scales)
