BreastCheck Merrion Unit, part of the HSE’s National Screening Service, is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to join its Breast Care team in Dublin 4. This is a key leadership role supporting the delivery of high-quality breast screening and follow-up care in a multidisciplinary environment.
About the Role
As CNM2, Breast Care Nurse, you will coordinate specialist nursing care for clients attending BreastCheck services. The role combines clinical expertise in breast care and oncology with strong management and administrative leadership within the unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate nursing services within the BreastCheck Merrion Unit.
- Provide expert breast care nursing support and counselling to clients.
- Supervise and support nursing staff in delivering safe, person-centred care.
- Collaborate with consultants, radiographers, and administrative teams to ensure seamless care pathways.
- Maintain and promote compliance with HSE clinical governance standards.
- Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and staff development programmes.
- Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and service efficiency at all times.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Registered in the General Division of the NMBI Register (or eligible for registration).
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including 2 years in Breast Care and/or Oncology.
- Proven clinical, managerial, and administrative capacity.
- Evidence of continuous professional development.
- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to fulfil the duties of the role to a high standard.
Preferred
- Postgraduate qualification in Breast Care Nursing, Oncology, or Management.
- Experience in HSE screening services or similar multidisciplinary settings.
- Strong communication, leadership, and patient advocacy skills.
