Job Overview
The Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Dublin role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and develop specialist sexual health services within the Gay Men’s Health Service in Dublin 8. This permanent position plays a vital leadership role in the testing, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections while promoting inclusive, culturally competent care for LGBTQ+ communities.
As a Clinical Nurse Manager 2 in Dublin, you will provide clinical leadership, support quality improvement initiatives and ensure the delivery of high standards of patient-centred care in line with HSE policies and national best practice guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership within the Gay Men’s Health Service.
- Oversee the testing, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
- Ensure delivery of inclusive and culturally appropriate care for LGBTQ+ service users.
- Lead audit, quality improvement and governance initiatives within the service.
- Support and supervise nursing staff to maintain high standards of care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, procedures and regulatory standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with active registration on the appropriate division of the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Significant nursing experience in sexual health management.
- Demonstrated expertise in the testing, prevention and treatment of sexually transmitted infections.
- Proven competence in providing inclusive, culturally appropriate care to LGBTQ+ populations.
- Experience in audit and quality improvement activities relevant to sexual health services.
- Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
- Desirable: Registered Nurse Prescriber (RNP) qualification or willingness to undertake nurse prescribing training in line with service development.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary Scale: Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (Grade 2119) in accordance with February 2026 HSE consolidated pay scales – €62,078 to €78,443 (LSI) per annum.

Location & Employer Information
