Job Overview
The HSE is seeking an experienced and motivated Clinical Nurse Manager 2 Medical Naas to join its acute services in Naas, County Kildare. This permanent wholetime position offers an excellent opportunity to lead nursing practice within a dynamic medical setting while contributing to high standards of patient-centred care.
The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in clinical governance, staff supervision, and service development within the medical unit, ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based care delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and professional leadership within the medical unit.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality, patient-centred care in line with HSE standards and policies.
- Supervise, support, and develop nursing and healthcare staff.
- Monitor clinical performance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation within the medical service.
- Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous professional development.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Be registered in the General Division of the Register of Nurses maintained by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
- Demonstrate depth and breadth of post-registration nursing experience in an acute care setting relevant to the role.
- Previous leadership or management experience in a medical or acute setting.
- Strong clinical decision-making and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team leadership abilities.
- Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
- Salary Scale: €62,078 – €78,443 per annum (February 2026 consolidated HSE pay scales, Grade Code 2119).
