Job Overview
This is an excellent leadership opportunity for an experienced nurse to take on the role of Clinical Nurse Manager 2 within the Operating Theatre Department at Children’s Health Ireland. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing theatre services, ensuring high standards of patient care, and supporting clinical excellence in a fast-paced surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and managerial leadership within the Operating Theatre Department
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care
- Manage staffing resources, rostering, and workforce planning
- Oversee clinical governance, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives
- Support and mentor nursing staff, promoting professional development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure efficient theatre operations
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registered General Nurse with active registration on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
- Minimum of 5 years post-registration experience, including relevant theatre experience
- Previous management or supervisory experience at CNM1 level or equivalent
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive service improvement
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €62,078 – €78,443 (based on experience and point on scale, including Long Service Increment where applicable)
Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime
