Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist consultant-level medical care within the Virtual Ward framework.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary team input for complex medical patients.
- Support integrated care pathways between hospital and community services.
- Contribute to service planning, quality improvement, and governance initiatives.
- Supervise and mentor junior medical staff and trainees.
- Ensure compliance with HSE clinical guidelines and national standards.
- Participate in audit, research, and continuous professional development activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Registration as a specialist in the Specialist Division of the Register of Medical Practitioners maintained by the Medical Council in Ireland in the relevant specialty.
- Extensive experience in General Internal Medicine.
- Demonstrated leadership and multidisciplinary team collaboration skills.
- Strong commitment to patient safety and quality improvement.
- Excellent communication and clinical decision-making abilities.
