Job Overview
As a Dental Nurse within HSE Mid West, you will assist dental surgeons and clinical teams in delivering patient-centred oral healthcare services. The role involves clinical support, infection prevention, patient preparation, and administrative assistance in line with HSE standards.
You must demonstrate depth and breadth of experience as a Dental Nurse relevant to the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist dental surgeons during a wide range of clinical procedures.
- Prepare and maintain dental surgeries in accordance with infection prevention and control guidelines.
- Ensure sterilisation and decontamination processes meet HSE standards.
- Provide chairside support and reassurance to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Support stock control and ordering of clinical supplies.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and HSE policies at all times.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification as a Dental Nurse.
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of Dental Nurse experience relevant to the post.
- Strong understanding of infection prevention and control standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary is aligned with the HSE consolidated pay scales for Dental Nurse (Grade 6437) in accordance with Department of Health Circular 6/2025 and the Public Service Agreement 2024–2026 .
