Job Overview
This Dietitian, Staff Grade position offers an excellent opportunity to join HSE Mid West and contribute to high-quality nutrition and dietetic services across both acute and community settings. The role plays a vital part in supporting patient care, health promotion, and clinical outcomes. A panel will be formed to fill current and future vacancies across the region, making this an ideal opportunity for both experienced professionals and 2026 graduating dietitian students.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide evidence-based dietetic assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients
- Deliver nutrition support across acute hospital and community healthcare settings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise patient care outcomes
- Develop and implement individualised nutrition care plans
- Promote health and wellbeing through education and dietary interventions
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with HSE standards
- Participate in service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Recognised qualification in Dietetics
- Registration (or eligibility for registration) with CORU
- Strong clinical assessment and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Dietitian students graduating in 2026 are eligible to apply
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €45,063 – €64,424 (LSI applicable)
Working Hours: Full-time, permanent (wholetime) position

This role is based within HSE Mid West, covering services across Limerick, Tipperary, and Clare.
