St Columcille’s Hospital, part of the HSE Dublin South East health region, is seeking a motivated Staff Grade Dietitian to join its dietetics team in Loughlinstown, Co. Dublin. This is a permanent, wholetime opportunity offering excellent career development within the Irish public health service.
About the Role
As a Staff Grade Dietitian, you will deliver high-quality nutritional care to patients across acute and community settings. Working under the Dietetics Manager, you will provide evidence-based dietary assessment, intervention, and education to support improved patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver individualised nutrition assessment and treatment for patients.
- Provide specialist dietary advice to multidisciplinary teams.
- Support health promotion and patient education initiatives.
- Contribute to the development of dietetic protocols and best practices.
- Participate in audit, research, and service evaluation.
- Supervise dietetic students and contribute to their training.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- A recognised qualification in Dietetics approved by CORU.
- Current registration or eligibility for registration with the Dietitians Registration Board at CORU.
- Strong knowledge of clinical nutrition and dietetic practice.
Preferred
- Experience in acute hospital dietetics or specialist areas such as nutrition support, renal, or diabetes.
- Skills in audit, research, or service development.

- Salary: €41,171 – €70,246 per annum (HSE Staff Grade Dietitian scale, effective March 2025).
