Mallow General Hospital is seeking a dedicated Domestic to join its General Support team on a permanent wholetime basis. Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across wards, departments, and public areas.
  • Follow infection prevention and control guidelines at all times.
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and in line with hospital procedures.
  • Dispose of waste and clinical materials in accordance with HSE policies.
  • Report maintenance or safety concerns to the relevant supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure a safe care environment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and hospital protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous cleaning or domestic experience, preferably in a healthcare setting (desirable).
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong awareness of hygiene and infection control standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work required shifts as per service needs.
  • Eligibility to work in Ireland.

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

  • Grade: Domestic 4110 (HSE Pay Scale).
  • Salary aligned with the August 2025 Consolidated Pay Scales in accordance with public sector agreements.
  • Permanent Wholetime contract.
