Job Overview
Sligo University Hospital is seeking a dedicated Domestic Supervisor to oversee hygiene standards and domestic services within the facility. This role plays a vital part in maintaining a safe, clean, and compliant healthcare environment, supporting patient care and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate domestic staff to ensure high standards of cleanliness
- Monitor hygiene practices in line with hospital and HSE policies
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of cleaning services
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention and control guidelines
- Manage staff rosters, attendance, and performance
- Provide training and guidance to domestic teams
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Demonstrated depth and breadth of experience in hygiene standards
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality service standards
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary Scale: €41,617 – €48,564 per annum (incremental scale)
Contract Type: Permanent Wholetime
