University Hospital Waterford is currently seeking a General Operative / Oibrí Ginearálta to join its Technical Services and General Support teams. 🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance, porterage, and support duties across the hospital
• Assist technical and facilities teams as required
• Ensure work areas are maintained to health, safety, and hygiene standards
• Support clinical and non-clinical departments with day-to-day operational needs
• Use equipment and tools safely and correctly
• Follow HSE policies, procedures, and infection control guidelines
• Respond flexibly to service demands within a busy hospital environment


🎓 Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a general operative, facilities, or support role (desirable)
• Ability to work as part of a team in a healthcare setting
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Awareness of health and safety practices
• Flexibility to meet service needs
• Manual handling experience or willingness to undertake training


💶 Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

Salary: In line with HSE General Operative Grade 5487 pay scale (on application)
Contract: Permanent, Wholetime
