Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown is seeking a Grade IV Administrator to join its Quality & Safety Department. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced clerical professional to contribute to the continuous improvement of patient care and hospital safety systems within one of Dublin’s leading acute hospitals.
About the Role
The Grade IV – Quality & Safety post involves providing essential administrative support in the coordination of all Quality and Safety (Q&S) activities across the hospital. The successful candidate will assist in incident management, data reporting, and the facilitation of key governance meetings to ensure high standards of patient safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support all Quality & Safety meetings and related documentation.
- Track, record, and follow up on incidents and risk management actions.
- Generate, analyse, and distribute Q&S data and reports for management teams.
- Maintain records in line with hospital governance and HSE standards.
- Liaise with clinical and non-clinical departments to ensure the timely flow of Q&S information.
- Support the Quality & Safety Manager in implementing safety initiatives and audits.
- Assist in the preparation of reports and materials for internal and external reviews.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Experience in an administrative or clerical role within a healthcare or public sector environment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management systems.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and accuracy.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a Quality & Safety or clinical governance setting.
- Knowledge of HSE Quality & Safety standards and incident reporting systems (e.g., NIMS).
- Relevant third-level qualification in healthcare administration or business management.
What We Offer
- Salary: As per HSE Grade IV (Code 0558) Consolidated Pay Scale (effective 1 March 2025) — €33,740 to €54,464 per annum (depending on experience and service).
