The Communications Officer (Grade V) will be part of the Communications & Public Affairs Team within HSE Mid West.
This team is responsible for:
- Managing internal communications across healthcare services
- Handling external communications and media relations
- Supporting public campaigns and messaging
- Ensuring consistent communication across the region
Youโll play a key role in shaping how the HSE communicates with staff, patients, and the wider public.
๐ฏ Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver communication strategies and campaigns
- Support media relations and press activities
- Create engaging digital and written content
- Coordinate internal communications across departments
- Assist with public information campaigns and stakeholder engagement
๐ค Ideal Candidate
You should demonstrate:
- Strong experience in communications, PR, or marketing
- Excellent writing and content creation skills
- Ability to manage multiple communication channels
- Experience working in a large or complex organisation (health/public sector is a plus)
- Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills
๐ฐ Salary (Estimated โ HSE Grade V)
Typical Grade V salary scale (2026):
- ๐ถ โฌ48,000 โ โฌ59,000 (approx., depending on experience)
