Mayo University Hospital, part of the Health Service Executive (HSE), is seeking a Grade V PA to the Hospital Manager. This permanent wholetime role is open only to eligible internal applicants and offers a key administrative opportunity within the HSE West and North West region.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide high-level administrative and executive support to the Hospital Manager
• Manage correspondence, scheduling, documentation, and confidential records
• Coordinate meetings, minute-taking, agendas, and follow-up actions
• Liaise with internal departments, stakeholders, and external bodies
• Prepare reports, briefing documents, and presentation materials
• Support the smooth operational running of the Hospital Manager’s office
• Maintain compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and data governance standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Eligible Grade V candidate under WRC Agreement 161867
• Strong administrative or PA background within healthcare or a similar environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills
• Competence with ICT systems including MS Office and HSE digital platforms
• Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
• Proven ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
• Grade V Clerical/Administrative salary scale per HSE Consolidated Pay Scales (effective 1 August 2025)
• Permanent, wholetime contract
