Job Overview

The Garda Vetting Liaison Office in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim is seeking applications for the role of Grade V Staff Officer. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level administrative support within the Garda Vetting Liaison Office
  • Coordinate and process Garda Vetting applications in line with national policies
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with data protection requirements
  • Support HR Shared Services operations and workflow management
  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies as required
  • Assist in reporting, auditing, and quality assurance activities
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the service

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Must be a current employee of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38, or statutory health agencies (WRC Agreement 161867 applies)
  • Previous experience in an administrative or HR-related role
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • High level of attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Proficiency in IT systems and data management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours

The salary scale for this position ranges from €52,235 to €62,485, depending on experience, with additional Long Service Increments (LSIs) applicable. A variety of contract types are available including permanent whole-time, permanent part-time, specified purpose whole-time, and specified purpose part-time roles. The HSE offers a comprehensive benefits package including public sector pension, annual leave entitlements, and opportunities for professional development. Blended working arrangements may be considered in line with HSE policy and service requirements.

Location & Employer Information

This role is based in the Garda Vetting Liaison Office, HR Shared Services (National HR), Áras Sláinte Chluainín, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim. While the role is rooted at this location, there is flexibility regarding on-site attendance in accordance with the HSE’s Blended Working Policy. The position is part of a national recruitment campaign and may also form a panel for future vacancies.
