Job Overview
The Grade VII Business Manager Limerick role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage business operations within Diagnostic Services at University Hospital Limerick. This senior management position plays a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of high-quality diagnostic services across the hospital.
The successful candidate will provide strategic, financial, and operational leadership, supporting service improvement, performance management, and resource optimisation in line with national healthcare priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic business and operational management support to Diagnostic Services.
- Lead financial planning, budget management, and expenditure control processes.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring service targets are achieved.
- Support service planning, workforce management, and resource allocation.
- Drive continuous quality improvement and service development initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, governance frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with clinical and multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient pathways and service efficiency.
- Prepare business cases, reports, and briefing documents for senior management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant third-level qualification in business, management, healthcare management, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in a senior administrative or management role, ideally within healthcare or public sector settings.
- Strong financial management and budgetary control experience.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and decision-making capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of governance, risk management, and service improvement methodologies.
