The Health Service Executive (HSE) Dublin North East is inviting applications for a Grade VII Finance Analyst to join the Finance Department at Connolly Hospital, Dublin North East Region. This is a permanent, wholetime position open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.

About the Role

The Grade VII Finance Analyst will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and governance within the Dublin North East Region. The role requires strong analytical and management skills to ensure the efficient use of resources in a complex healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the preparation, monitoring, and review of financial budgets and forecasts
Analyse financial performance and provide reports to senior management and the HSE Finance Division
Support financial governance, ensuring compliance with HSE and Department of Health requirements
Manage financial information systems and support service managers in decision-making
Contribute to strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives
Supervise and mentor finance and clerical staff as required
Liaise with internal and external auditors, providing relevant documentation and analysis

Required Qualifications

Essential

A relevant third-level qualification in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or financial governance
Strong IT and data analysis skills, including use of financial management systems
Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills

Preferred

Professional accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent)
Previous experience in the public sector or healthcare finance
