The Health Service Executive (HSE) Dublin North East is seeking applications for a Grade VII Finance Analyst to be based at Connolly Hospital, Dublin North East Region. This is a permanent wholetime position, open to both HSE and non-HSE applicants.
About the Role
As a Finance Analyst (Grade VII), you will play a key role in financial planning, analysis, and reporting within the HSE Dublin North East. This management and administration post requires expertise in healthcare finance, data analysis, and budget oversight to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes.
- Analyse financial performance and provide actionable insights to management.
- Oversee preparation of budgets and monitor variances.
- Support compliance with HSE financial regulations and policies.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams on financial matters.
- Provide leadership and guidance to staff in financial administration.
- Contribute to strategic projects within the Finance Department.
Required Qualifications
Essential
- Relevant degree in finance, accounting, business, or related discipline.
- Significant experience in financial analysis and reporting.
- Strong knowledge of HSE/public sector finance policies and procedures.
- Excellent IT and data analysis skills (Excel, ERP systems).
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
Preferred
- Professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA).
- Previous experience in healthcare or public sector finance.
- Knowledge of audit, compliance, and performance improvement in finance.
