Job Overview
The Grade VII ICT Project Manager Cork position offers an exciting opportunity to lead digital transformation initiatives within the HSE South West region. Based within the Technology and Transformation Team, this role will support the rollout of programmes under the Digital for Care Framework.
This is a 24-month specified purpose position, ideal for experienced project managers seeking to drive meaningful change across healthcare services while working in a dynamic, multi-stakeholder environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage ICT projects aligned with the Digital for Care Framework.
- Develop detailed project plans using methodologies such as Agile, Prince2, or Microsoft Project.
- Monitor and report on project deliverables, milestones, risks, and outcomes.
- Support implementation of change and quality improvement initiatives across varied teams.
- Engage effectively with senior management and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure effective collaboration.
- Attend meetings across the South West region and nationally as required.
- Contribute to continuous service improvement within the Technology and Transformation function.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Significant experience in project management, including planning, delivery, and reporting.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management tools such as Agile, Prince2, or Microsoft Project.
- Experience implementing change management and/or quality improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and support effective decision-making.
- Experience working in a busy office environment with senior-level stakeholder engagement.
- Strong communication, organisational, and analytical skills.
- This competition is restricted to employees of the HSE, TUSLA, Section 38 agencies, or statutory health agencies under WRC Agreement 161867.
