Job Overview
The Grade VIII Health Promotion and Improvement Manager will play a strategic leadership role within HSE Dublin and North East, driving health promotion initiatives and service improvement programmes across the region. This senior management position offers an opportunity to influence population health outcomes across Louth, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan.
Working at Grade VIII level, you will lead integrated planning, governance, performance management and cross-sector collaboration to support sustainable health improvement services aligned with national and regional priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership for health promotion and improvement initiatives across the Integrated Health Area.
- Lead service planning, performance monitoring and quality assurance processes.
- Drive continuous service improvement aligned with HSE national strategies and policies.
- Manage budgets, resources and workforce planning within agreed governance frameworks.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Prepare reports, business cases and briefings for senior management and regional leadership.
- Ensure compliance with public sector governance, risk management and regulatory requirements.
- Support innovation, transformation and evidence-based practice across services.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Significant senior management experience within healthcare or a related public sector environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in service planning, governance and performance management.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
- Excellent analytical, reporting and strategic planning capabilities.
- Experience managing budgets and complex service portfolios.
- Full driving licence and access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role.
- Willingness to travel across Louth, Meath, Cavan and Monaghan as required.
