Kerry Mental Health Services are recruiting Health Care Assistants (Band 1) for permanent whole-time positions within residential and community mental health settings. This role supports service users with daily living activities while working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team delivering person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities
• Support service users with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and daily living activities
• Assist nursing staff in delivering therapeutic and recovery-focused care
• Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing of service users
• Observe, record, and report changes in service user condition
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive care environment
• Follow HSE policies, infection control, and health & safety procedures
• Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary mental health teams
Required Skills & Qualifications
• QQI Level 5 (or equivalent) in Healthcare Support or related discipline
• Experience in a healthcare or caring environment (desirable)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of person-centred care principles
• Eligibility to work in Ireland
• Garda Vetting clearance (mandatory prior to appointment)
