Permanent Wholetime Position | HSE West and North West
The Health Service Executive (HSE) is seeking a dedicated Home Support Resource Manager to join our Older Persons Services team in Loughrea, County Galway. This permanent wholetime position offers an excellent opportunity to lead and develop home support services in a dynamic healthcare environment.
About the Role
As Home Support Resource Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing and coordinating home support services for older persons across Galway, Roscommon and Mayo. This permanent position is based in Loughrea and requires strong leadership skills to manage staff effectively while collaborating with multiple stakeholders to deliver high-quality care services. You will report directly to senior management within the HSE West and North West region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage home support staff to ensure delivery of high-quality services to older persons in the community
- Develop and implement complex change management initiatives and quality improvement projects
- Collaborate effectively with internal HSE departments and external service providers to coordinate seamless care delivery
- Monitor and evaluate service performance metrics to ensure compliance with HSE standards and best practices
- Manage resource allocation including budgets, staffing levels, and service capacity planning
- Provide strategic direction for home support services development within the region
- Utilize digital platforms including MS Teams, Webex, and other online tools for service coordination and communication
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in effective management of staff in a healthcare or social care setting
- Proven track record of working collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders, including service users and providers
- Significant experience implementing and managing complex change or quality improvement projects
- Proficiency in using multiple online platforms such as Webex, MS Teams, and related digital tools
- Grade-appropriate qualifications as specified in HSE guidelines for Home Support Resource Manager grade 6584
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in home support or older persons services
- Knowledge of HSE policies and procedures
- Experience in budget management and resource planning
- Strong understanding of quality assurance frameworks in healthcare
