The Maintenance Manager – Surgical Hub Dublin North role offers a key leadership opportunity within the HSE Dublin and North East region. You will oversee maintenance operations across sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient facilities that support critical surgical services.
This permanent wholetime post requires a proactive engineering professional capable of leading teams, coordinating emergency responses, and maintaining high service standards in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage maintenance operations for the Surgical Hub
- Coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
- Participate in emergency call-outs as required
- Travel between sites to oversee works and ensure service continuity
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards
- Manage contractors and oversee on-site works, including outdoor and roof-level tasks
- Carry and respond to HSE-issued mobile phone or bleep during working hours
- Demonstrate flexibility to meet operational service needs
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant engineering or facilities management qualification
- Proven experience managing maintenance services in a complex environment
- Strong leadership and team management capability
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements
- Full driving licence and access to appropriate transport
- Flexibility to work in varying weather conditions and environments
- Ability to respond to urgent operational issues
Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
Salary: In line with HSE Maintenance Manager Grade 5070 pay scale (Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales, 1 August 2025 revision)
Contract: Permanent Wholetime
Working Hours: Standard full-time hours with emergency call-out participation
