St. Ita’s Hospital in Newcastle West is seeking a dedicated Multi-Task Attendant to join its patient and client care team. Job Overview
The Multi-Task Attendant plays a vital support role in ensuring a clean, safe, and efficient environment for patients and healthcare staff. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will assist with a range of non-clinical duties that directly impact patient comfort and care standards at St. Ita’s Community Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across wards and departments
- Assist with patient movement and support non-clinical care activities
- Ensure equipment and supplies are appropriately handled and stored
- Support catering and meal distribution services where required
- Adhere to infection control and health & safety procedures at all times
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Report maintenance or safety issues promptly to relevant personnel
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare or support role is desirable
- Strong understanding of hygiene and infection control practices

Salary, Benefits & Working Hours
This is a permanent wholetime position within the HSE Mid West region.
