This permanent wholetime position plays a vital role in supporting patient comfort, hygiene, and daily operational needs within a residential care setting.
Working as part of the multidisciplinary team in Kenmare Community Nursing Unit, you will contribute directly to maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for residents.
Job Overview
This MultiTask Attendant position is based at Kenmare Community Nursing Unit, Kenmare, Co. Kerry, within HSE South West. The role involves delivering high standards of environmental hygiene and support services to enhance patient care in a residential healthcare environment.
This is a permanent wholetime contract under Grade 6015 – Attendant Multi-Task.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the unit
- Assist with general domestic and environmental support duties
- Support patient comfort through safe handling of supplies and equipment
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures
- Work collaboratively with nursing and care staff
- Adhere to health and safety policies at all times
- Ensure waste management procedures are correctly followed
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and welcoming care environment
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a healthcare, residential, or support services environment is desirable
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control standards
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to meet service needs

Salary is aligned with the HSE Consolidated Salary Scales (Patient & Client Care Grades) effective 1 August 2025 in accordance with Department of Health Circular 6/2025 .
