About the Role

The HSE Dublin and Midlands is seeking a motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join Older Persons Services. The successful candidate will support Occupational Therapists in delivering high-quality care and rehabilitation programmes for older adults, helping service users maintain independence and improve quality of life.

This permanent opportunity is based in Bru Chaoimhín, Cork Street, Dublin 8. A panel may also be created for future permanent and specified purpose vacancies across Dublin and Midlands Integrated Health Areas, including Dublin North County and Dublin North City & West.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Occupational Therapists in implementing treatment programmes
  • Support older persons with daily living and rehabilitation activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Prepare therapy equipment and treatment areas
  • Promote independence, mobility and wellbeing among service users
  • Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrated Occupational Therapy Assistant experience relevant to the role
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Access to appropriate transport to fulfil the requirements of the role
  • Commitment to delivering person-centred care
